Afghanistan Hobby Club

Emerald City Modelers had the honor of making several donations to international troops serving in Afghanistan. The club sent 20-30 model kits of all types plus modeling supplies. In appreciation, the club was given an American flag that was flown on a mission in Afghanistan and a commemorative certificate.

The certificate reads in full:

75th Fighter Squadron "Tigersharks" Let it be known that this flag represents the American resolve following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and bears witness to the destruction of the terrorist forces threatening the United States of America and the free world. It was flown in an A-10A Warthog during an Operation Enduring Freedom combat mission from Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan on
