What are Emerald City Modelers Members Building?

Members model a wide variety of subjects and love to bring them in to club meetings to brag (just a bit).

As an occasional feature, we'll post some of the club members' latest work here.

Troy Downen's 1/144 scale Crossair McDonalds MD-80 and some of the supplies that he used.

Bob Tyhurst's incredible scratchbuilt (from wood) P-47 in 1/96 scale. The prop spins and the landing gear retract and extend. Bob is known for connecting his control surfaces to his cockpit stick so that they move in concert. He didn't do that on this example, but you have to see Bob's work to believe it!

Toni Blair's Dalek from the Dr. Who TV show.

John King's 1/144 scale Boeing 737 sitting next to the same-scale A380 fuselage from the Revell kit.

Dave Hooten's 1/144 scale Boeing 747 and 1/48 scale P-33.

Richard Giordano's Trumpeter F-107A.

Dave Hooten entered this modified FW-190 painted in the colors of the Washington Redskin's Football Team into the club's December "Flights of Fancy" contest. He won a $20 gift certificate for "Best Finish" in the mini-contest.

Toni Blair's Star Wars Rancor getting ready to munch a yummy Gammorean guard.

Jon Marshall-Potter is working on his new Arado Ar. E555. But will he bomb America with it when he's finished?

Eric Engstrom digs into his 1/48 scale YF-12A kit at a recent meeting.

Troy Downen demonstrates cleaning one of his 1/144 scale models with a vacuum mini-attachments set.

Once upon a time Emerald City Modelers was known as Military Scale Modelers. We found the old MSM banner in the basement a few months back! Club members Richard LeGaye (left) and Dave Hardin pose for the camera.
